yeh but 6.1 mp looks good on a good camera/lens... i think 12/13 mp is the highest you can get on a pro cam not sure tho where as something stupid like 20+ is on a handy cam. But they have shit bodys...

next xmas im so upgrading to canon g9 powershot unless you guys know of one that take better quality photos (more quality im looking for so i assumed 12 mp = more colours = more quality + it is a SLR lens) so yh..

12 mp is the ammount of mega pixels the camera has, for £500 i cant imagine the body or lens being of a good quality. Id say your best of getting a more overall camera like a Nikon D80. in my opinion.

Thats why people should use Canon Single Lense Relfex more because M.P's are out of the question, and Digic processors are used!!
Soo if you wanted something around 12 m.p go for a canon 40d and it will be 12 and more becuase its pre-loaded with a digic 3!! Or something abit cheaper a 450d which now has live-view built in with manual focuss Wink


CANON all the way HOJO!! ha


and they all after the 400d have intergrated cleaning systems!!
